| Based on a few pics I've seen on this site, I've decided I like the look of the Z with the 2 roof panels in front of and behind the T-tops painted black. Makes a nice continuous strip front to back, and helps to hide all the lumps and bumps and cutlines that make the roof look so busy. More like the slicktop. So I went to a body shop to get a quote, and they were concerned about the tight gap at the top of the windshield and the difficulty of masking it properly for a really good result. Has anyone dealt with this? I was quoted $300 CDN. Sounds like a lot. Obviously, I'll get a few other quotes before I go ahead. Another thought -- how about black vinyl like the stuff they use to make graphics? Might be a cheap way to see how it would look painted. Does that stuff come off easily, or does it damage the paint?
